Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely love my students’ enthusiasm and determination to learn. Every day, they bring curiosity and creativity to the classroom, inspiring me to provide them with the best opportunities to succeed. As emergent bilinguals, they are not only mastering new academic concepts but also learning a second language, which makes their progress even more extraordinary.

The materials I’m requesting will provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences that build foundational literacy and motor skills.

Sentence-building games will help my students develop vocabulary, grammar, and early reading skills in a fun and interactive way. Alphabet tracing boards and handwriting practice cards will strengthen their letter recognition and fine motor abilities, ensuring they feel confident in their writing. Fine motor clip activities will enhance their pincer grip, a crucial skill for writing and other classroom tasks. Finally, colorful doodle boards will encourage creativity while reinforcing literacy and motor practice through drawing and writing.

My goal for this project is to create a classroom environment where my students can thrive. By using these resources, I aim to support their language development and fine motor skills while making learning engaging and enjoyable.

What makes my students special is their resilience and determination. Many come from homes where a second language is spoken, and despite the challenges of learning English, they approach each day with excitement and a willingness to grow. These tools will provide them with the opportunities they deserve to explore, practice, and succeed in their educational journey.
