My Project

I am constantly inspired by the curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm my students bring to our classroom every day. They are an incredibly diverse group, each with their own unique strengths, ideas, and ways of engaging with the world around them. Many of my students thrive in hands-on, interactive environments where they can explore, experiment, and create freely. Their eagerness to learn and their joy in discovering new things is truly contagious, and I want to provide them with every opportunity to build on that natural excitement for learning.

The materials I am requesting—Play-Doh, construction paper, and crayons—are essential tools that will empower my students to engage in meaningful, interactive learning experiences across a variety of subjects.

I want students to have the opportunity to think outside the box, experimenting with different materials to create something uniquely theirs. Play-Doh, construction paper, and crayons will give them the freedom to express themselves in a variety of ways.

By using Play-Doh, crayons, and scissors with construction paper, students will strengthen the hand muscles they need for writing, drawing, and other everyday tasks. These resources will allow students to work together on projects, whether they’re creating a group mural, building 3D models, or drawing illustrations for a class story. Collaboration will foster teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Through art, students will connect with and reinforce their learning in math (shapes, patterns), literacy (letters, storytelling), and science (modeling animals, plants). The hands-on nature of these materials helps them better understand and retain these concepts. These resources will give them the freedom to experiment, express their ideas, and grow in a way that is meaningful to them. I am constantly amazed by how my students approach challenges with enthusiasm and resilience, and I can't wait to see what they create with these materials!
