This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I cherish the remarkable qualities of my students with autism, each bringing their own unique strengths and perspectives to our classroom. With this in mind, the resources requested will play a pivotal role in their learning journey. The LEGO DUPLO sets offer a tactile and engaging way for them to explore spatial relationships and foster creativity through hands-on construction. Building with these blocks not only enhances fine motor skills but also promotes social interaction as they collaborate and communicate with peers during play.

My overarching goals for this project are to create an inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered, and to provide tailored support that addresses their diverse needs.

Through the use of these resources, I aim to facilitate their cognitive development, focusing on crucial areas such as problem-solving, language acquisition, and social-emotional skills. By integrating fun and interactive activities into our curriculum, I hope to ignite a passion for learning and foster a sense of curiosity and exploration in each of my students.

What sets my students apart is their resilience, creativity, and unique way of seeing the world. Despite facing challenges, they approach each day with unwavering determination and enthusiasm. It's truly inspiring to witness their growth and progress, and I am committed to providing them with the tools and support they need to thrive.
