My Students

My students come from rural South Carolina and many do not have pre-school experience when they arrive to us. They have not always been exposed to "outside of the box" thinking. My goal is to change that.

One of the main goals of my classroom is to give the students as many hands on experiences as I possibly can.

I am transforming some of our weekly activities into STEM activities across all of the grade levels I see, from kindergarten to sixth grade.

My Project

Many students have a hard time manipulating materials because they are not used to having to. Many are used to so much screen time that they do not know how to hone in on their creativity and imagination. These kits will allow my younger students to build and construct activities that will help with many facets of their learning. I am trying to build a library for my younger students to have various resources to pull from to work with them on special activities. The more I have of these kits and items, the more I can use them with my students.
