Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The basic materials needed for my classroom will help to give my students opportunities to be more independent. My students love to have the to do things on their own. Many of their goals are to work on becoming more independent ; for example following simple directions to retrieve a specific notebook or folder.

The baskets will be placed in their desks so the students can organize their folders and notebooks so they can easily find them for their lessons in math and ELA.

My students love to please both their teachers and their peers! The stickers and treasures will be used for our classroom behavior management system. If they earn at least 6 stickers on their daily schedule they will earn a treasure.

The color pencils and white construction paper will be used to illustrate the pictures for their writing projects. The highlighters will be used when the students are looking for answers in a text and the calculators will assist them with more difficult math problems.
