My Project

Books and the Meta Quest 3 have the potential to significantly enrich students’ learning experiences, particularly in areas like Ancient Civilizations, the Renaissance, and Native American history, all of which are covered in CKLA (Core Knowledge Language Arts) units. Donors can play a crucial role in providing these resources to help bridge gaps in student understanding and promote deeper learning.

Books are foundational to building background knowledge.

When students read about ancient cultures, historical events, and diverse peoples, they not only gain factual information but also expand their vocabulary and comprehension skills. Books about Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, and Native American tribes offer rich, detailed narratives that give students insight into the customs, beliefs, and everyday lives of these societies. Such resources help students better connect to the CKLA curriculum and deepen their understanding of history, laying a solid foundation for their future learning.

The Meta Quest 3 takes this learning a step further by providing an immersive virtual reality experience. Students can "walk" through ancient civilizations, explore Renaissance art and architecture, and interact with Native American culture in ways that traditional textbooks cannot replicate.

This kind of immersive learning helps solidify the concepts they read about, creating lasting connections to the material.
