My Students

I am a National Board certified teacher in Literacy. I work at a Title I middle school. Many of my students come from military families due to our location near several bases. Our school is diverse with learning styles, cultures, and interests. My students are hardworking, creative, critical thinkers. My students are future artists, inventors, authors, and natural leaders. Success is at their fingertips; I know that with the right learning environment, I will nurture each and every one of them.

My Project

I am excited to be given the opportunity to purchase the items for our schools innovation lab. The requested items will be used to teach students at school and remotely the 8 essential technologies. The items I requested will provide students with the opportunity to create circuits through coding, they will explore virtual reality and augmented reality. I requested take-home kits for students to develop their critical thinking skills completing 10-12 different lessons in one kit.

The green screen will be used to connect students with the learning at school and home in an engaging manner.

I requested Python because Python is an easy to learn programming language that allows students to understand a more sophisticated text-based coding and provide real-world experiences through the use of Code Bot.

This innovation lab and materials requested will give students the opportunity to have authentic problem-based learning experiences. I thank you for this opportunity and for allowing our students to have the experiences that will help them prepare for the future with how much technology is changing and advancing.
