My Project

In a STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) classroom, a wide variety of books is essential for several reasons:

Students have different preferences and learning styles.

A variety of genres such as fiction, non-fiction, and graphic novels, engages all learners and helps them connect with the material.

A diverse collection ensures that all students see themselves in the literature, fostering a sense of belonging and validating the experiences of students from various backgrounds, including marginalized groups.

Bilingual books are invaluable for bilingual students or those learning a new language. They bridge the gap between native and instructional languages, enhancing vocabulary and comprehension while promoting cultural awareness.

Exposure to various themes and perspectives encourages students to think critically and engage in discussions that challenge their assumptions, promoting deeper understanding of STREAM subjects.

Access to a wide range of books helps students find titles that interest them, igniting a passion for reading. This love for reading is crucial, as it enhances literacy skills foundational for success in all areas of learning

A diverse library allows teachers to differentiate instruction effectively, providing tailored materials that meet individual student needs.
