Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teachers of special needs students have a unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of children with disabilities. As a teacher in my community for children diagnosed with special needs I have a unique opportunity to positively impact their lives.

Multicultural art books will serve as visual bridges, connecting my children to the rich collection of human experiences.

Through vibrant illustrations and engaging narratives, these books can introduce my students to different cultures, traditions, and perspectives. By encountering diverse characters and settings, my children can develop a broader understanding of the world. Moreover, multicultural art books can help students with special needs to see themselves reflected in the pages, promoting a sense of inclusion and self-worth. By catering to their unique sensory needs, art books can make learning more accessible and enjoyable.
