Building Positive Learning Environments and Spreading Kindness at Dunaire ES

My Project

We are seeking your support to implement Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) at Dunaire Elementary School. PBIS is a research-based framework designed to improve school climate by promoting positive behavior, reducing discipline issues, and fostering a culture of respect and kindness. Our goal is to spread kindness in the school community by enhancing our school’s PBIS program by providing our teachers and students with the resources, materials, and incentives they need to succeed in this important initiative.

Dunaire Elementary School is a vibrant, diverse learning community committed to ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

With a student population representing various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, our school celebrates diversity as one of its greatest strengths.

Your generous donation will directly support the following areas of our PBIS program:

-Posters, visual aids, and banners that reinforce PBIS expectations across our school.

-Social-emotional learning (SEL) resources to teach students how to manage their emotions, resolve conflicts, and build positive relationships.

-PBIS "Catch Them Being Good" reward systems, including stickers, certificates, and small prizes that celebrate student achievements and positive behavior.

-A school-wide incentive program, where students can accumulate "PBIS points" that can be exchanged for rewards such as extra recess time or school supplies.

-Sensory tools and calming kits for classrooms to help students who may need support in regulating their emotions, which is especially important in a diverse school setting where students may face unique challenges.

We are grateful for your consideration of this request and for your willingness to help support the growth and development of our students. The impact of your donation will be felt in the classroom, in hallways, on the playground, and in the hearts of every student.
