This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a fun LEGO set for our after-school LEGO club beginning in the Spring of 2025. Our club is growing every year, so we need to update our collection! Some of these sets are larger, so they will require students to work together. We love promoting experiential learning, problem solving and engineering skills with our students!

LEGO club is designed to foster positive social relationships with peers and to promote a welcoming community for our newcomers.

Social language, cooperative building, game playing, engineering strategies and making friends will be promoted in this club.

My students are very excited about this opportunity to interact with their peers in a fun way while building houses. This will also be a wonderful opportunity for my English learners and newcomers to develop their oral language skills. Unfortunately, a lot of the fun stuff is taken out of the school day, and this is how we can add it back. Thank you for supporting our LEGO after-school club! We are so excited to offer this club to our students!
