Building a Classroom Library for Lifelong Readers!
Help me give my students engaging books to build lifelong readers! Our classroom library needs an upgrade. I would like to give my students shelves of books that will help them develop a love of reading.
This school year I will be teaching 4th grade and would like to give my students a selection of new books in the classroom library. Many of the current books are starting to fall apart and are a bit dated. I would like to give the classroom library a facelift with some new and interesting authors, graphic novels, and non-fiction topics that the current library is lacking.
Having engaging books is important for students to develop a love of reading.
New books in our library would ensure that in my classroom students can become great readers and that they can find a book that that they are interested in. Many of my students come from low-income families and have very little reading materials at home.
I would like to give my students books that will make them laugh, allow them to use their imaginations, develop their vocabulary and language and give them a chance to truly enjoy reading!
