Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project supports independent reading for the students in my classroom. My goal is to build a library of several hundred books, including novels, comics, short story collections, and graphic novels.

This project will stock my library with popular favorites including Dragon Ball and Cat Kid.

Additionally, it includes books requested by my students including Amulet and books about soccer.

Our school uses PBIS to recognize students that demonstrate positive behaviors. Students get points for exhibiting positive behaviors and can use the points to purchase prizes. Some of the resrouc.es in this project including the Ring Pops and Airheads will go towards my PBIS store. Lastly, the project includes some classroom basics like pencil sharpeners and loose-leaf paper.
