Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a kindergarten teacher at Southeast Elementary. We have recently opened a brand-new kindergarten classroom. I am reaching out to request your support in creating a nurturing and effective learning environment for our students.

Our classroom serves a diverse group of young learners, including students who are McKinney-Vento eligible, those who qualify for free or reduced price lunch, non-English speakers who only speak Spanish, and students with disabilities.

Each of these students brings unique strengths and needs to our classroom. It is my goal to ensure that every child feels valued, supported, and engaged in their learning. In order to do so, we need a complete classroom.

As a new classroom, we are starting with very limited supplies and furniture. This lack of resources makes it challenging to provide the optimal learning environment our students deserve. We are committed to utilizing every item purchased with your support to its fullest potential, ensuring that each resource directly benefits our students and enhances their educational experience.

These materials will not only help us create a positive and engaging learning space, but will also make a lasting impact on the lives of these children as they begin their educational journey.
