This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

It's that time of year once again! To prepare for another school year, I am hoping to gather resources to create more organized space for my students.

From my two years teaching pre-k through 8th grade art, I have learned the importance of having a structured system for materials management and organization.

I am asking for containers to hold specific materials which will be put on an accessible shelf along with smaller containers for students to gather and return their supplies as needed. This, along with clipboards and flexible seating, will give my students autonomy in the classroom and help them complete work in a way that best fits their needs. I am also asking for basic classroom tools like a wall clock and a broom as these are two often misplaced or broken items in my classroom that I use daily.

I am excited for another year in the art room, and can't wait to further support my students in their artistic development!
