Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The model supplies we are asking for will aid in the students' learning about sustainability, they will research green cities and learn how to incorporate these ideas into a 3D model of the city of Tucson. They will also reach out through email to see what the planning department and other members of the community are doing for our city and if they would be willing to speak in our class.

The goal for our "Green City" project is to design a sustainable city that addresses environmental, social, and economic needs.

We will focus our learning about:

Green Spaces: Parks, green roofs, urban forests, and community gardens.

Renewable Energy: Solar panels, wind turbines, and geothermal energy.

Efficient Transportation: Public transportation, bike lanes, and pedestrian-friendly zones.

Resource Management: Waste reduction, recycling, water conservation, and sustainable food systems.

My school is a Title 1 school with 75% or more low income families.
