My Students

The students in my Pre-K class are three, four, and five year olds. They have been screened and found "at risk" for development in either cognitive, language, or motor areas. Many of my students are lacking rich language and literacy experiences, and many of them have deficits in social, emotional, and physical learning experiences. However, they are always eager to learn!

Our mission at the Early Learning Center is to help children and their families acquire the skills that are necessary to be successful in school.

My students learn best through active and purposeful play both outside and inside of our classroom to meet national and state learning standards.

My Project

My students are very curious and excited to learn and explore. The Our Town LEGO kit with provide my students with many opportunities to collaborate and work together while they build community scenes. The World People Set will allow the boys and girls to develop not only language skills through role-playing but to learn to respect similarities and differences in people during free center time led by students.

The Large Farm Set will allow my students to build new and exciting farm scenes while learning important math skills during teacher directed math time.

My students will be able to sort, count the animals, and learn to take turns while they actively take ownership of their learning.
