Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am working on transforming our traditional math classroom to be more student centered by adopting discovery and exploring learning into their everyday lessons. Research shows that students are more willing to take mathematical risks when they are writing on a non-permanent surface such a whiteboard. In addition, in order to discover and explore they need access to various tools such as a protractor, laminating sheets to save/display their work, and a space to organize all their belongings.

With the concept of giving students more opportunities to express their thinking, please consider supporting us in gathering whiteboards specific with graph lines, expo markers, whiteboard erasers, etc.
