Build a Hands-on Learning Laboratory for Business and Leadership Skills

We are requesting start-up inventory to open our school store. Our students are in concurrent enrollment, taking both high school and college classes to get into the workforce at an accelerated pace. They are excited to open a school store that will give them the real-world experience of building marketing, finance, hospitality, management, and leadership skills that extend beyond academia. For many of our students, this will be their first work experience. For others, they are currently out in the workforce and are looking to build their skills to increase their chances for promotions.
The school store will be a powerful learning laboratory tool while being both realistic and practical.
We are asking for donations to get our initial inventory so that we can open the store. After creating a survey, they have chosen a variety of items, at a variety of price points, based on their marketing research with their peers. Students have also launched a DECA Chapter to support their business learning. In addition, these students are also planning to support their peers by helping other school clubs and individual student entrepreneurs. The school store will host pop-up shops and will be an outreach program for our school community.
As you can see, your donation will kick off a cascade of progress and options for our students. Thank you for considering this project that will impact over 700 students who are eager for the opportunity to learn!
