Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from South Central Los Angeles and surrounding areas, we are a low income and high risk population. Many of my students have had life experiences that not even adults should have, but they still come to school so excited to learn and eager to try anything new. I want to expose them to projects and cultures that they may not ever be exposed to otherwise. We are a general ed, multiple subject classroom but we have a wide range of abilities within one class. It is what makes us so unique!

My Project

These applied science materials will allow my students to build their own personal bridge. We are not able to receive donations from the district and/or parents/guardians due to finances, so something as simple as this donation is very exciting and life changing for my students!

My students are eager to apply what they have learned in class and build their very own bridge!

This is not possible at the moment though, due to lack of supplies and funding. I will try throughout the year to continue to collect funds and supplies for this project but donating to this cause will guarantee their chance to do this project. So your donation is literally changing their lives! Thank you again in advanced for all that you do!
