Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials I am requesting are mainly items for STEM activities. STEM helps to develop problem solving skills and language development. Books and projects that are related to math and science encourage students to talk more about what they have observed and discovered.

I have also included items for other areas, such as social emotional support.

I have created a cozy corner for our students. This is a place where they can self-regulate. It’s located near our library. I plan on including the beanbag chair, tissues, a stuffed animal and books on feelings and emotions.

I also included items to encourage autonomy such as the center chart.
