Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Adding this bucket filler activity to my classroom will help my Pre-K students learn about different subjects while enjoying it. This reward system will work in various ways to promote a positive learning environment in our classroom. Young learners usually struggle to adapt to work as a team, therefore this system is built to promote teamwork while working with STEAM.

After reading several books about bucket filling, each student will receive their own Houseables Galvanized Buckets with their name.

The students will be given a Multicolor Pom Pom Ball as a bucket filler once caught by the teacher doing an act of kindness, helping others and displaying positive classroom behavior. The students will keep track of their bucket fillers by counting weekly and graphing and sorting the fillers. There will be weekly rewards with STEAM activities (STEM Educational Sensory Magnet Toys, Foam Stickers) and the students who have the highest count will receive extra time in the center or take home prizes.
