Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In accordance to the structure of our school program, our students are offered few extracurricular sports activities, making the cheer leading club a valuable source of team building, leadership skills, athleticism, and an overall healthier lifestyle.

The school population is over 70% of low-income households looking for an alternative to colleges and universities.

Our school cheerleaders aim to go above their limits in this team but have limited resources. My students are really excited about our club and look forward to showing off their skills in competitions and during school-sponsored events.

My Project

Our cheer leading program is growing but we cannot evolve without proper attire for practice. Currently, some students have to practice in their school uniform which affects their safety and performance. Wearing school uniforms to practice does not allow the cheerleaders to practice splits, tumbles, cartwheels or jumps.

We are trying to create unity, professionalism and teamwork.

This will help them gain life skills that they would not regularly receive in a classroom setting.

My students are really excited about having this club and look forward to

showing off their skills in competitions, pep rallies, expos and during school-sponsored events.
