This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students attend a 3K through fifth grade elementary school.
Our school is located in one of the poorest congressional districts in the nation.
Many of my students live in nearby public housing or are from single-parent homes.
Many of my students have special needs, are repeating a grade or are struggling academically to achieve grade-level expectations.
They need essential resources to maximize learning opportunities to ensure they do their best work every day.

My Project
The big bubble kits will enable my student to have fun experimenting with bubbles as they develop their gross motor skills. Laughing kids learn!
Bubble play and other hands-on sensory activities engage students and make learning new concepts and ideas fun.
As bubbles are blown, my students will be reaching, stretching, jumping, standing on tippy-toes as they develop hand-eye coordination. The hand-held safety mirrors will help my learn all about themselves, When children play with bubbles it creates a wonderful opportunity for them to practice their speech, hearing and language development. Children will be talking about bubbles and can use the safety mirrors to see themselves saying the word bubble, which is great because by doing so they are learning to pay attention to the initial sounds in words such as sound of ‘buh’ as in bubble and ‘puh’ as in pop. These easy-to-hold mirrors feature a regular mirror on one side and a 'fun mirror' on the other that warps reflections. The bubbles, mirrors and sensory marbles are perfect for teaching body awareness, discussing emotions and more! The paper towels and wipes will be used for clean spills after fun and engaging learning activities during bubble play.
