Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Whether its mindfulness and creating stress relieving coping skills, to fostering and creating sustainable practices like water conservations and composting...

The BTM Urban Digz Garden Club will become a safe haven for our scholars to develop gardening skills, learn about sustainable practices, promote literacy and togetherness, and contribute to our school and neighborhood community.

We are excited to reignite our school garden through growing vegetables, planting seeds and trees, making butterfly puddles, inserting bird feeders, and inviting our favorite pollinators to our school grounds. We also look forward to collaborating with our school and neighborhood community by inviting guest gardeners and plant enthusiasts to share in our growth! Additionally, we look forward to promoting literacy and filling our social emotional buckets through integrating gardening, good gardening books, and creating affirmations for growth. The garden tools we are requesting will allow us to work in small, collaborative groups to create some gardening magic!
