My Project

I work in an urban middle school dedicated to fostering academic excellence and innovation in education. As a mathematics educator at our school, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative impact that quality resources can have on student learning and achievement.

Our school has consistently demonstrated significant progress in PSSA scores, reflecting our commitment to providing our students with the best possible educational opportunities.

Building on this success, we are eager to enhance our teaching methodologies by incorporating principles from Peter Liljedahal's "Building Thinking Classrooms." This approach emphasizes collaborative problem-solving, critical thinking, and active student engagement, all of which are essential for preparing our students for future academic and professional challenges.

To fully implement these innovative teaching strategies, we are seeking support to equip our math classrooms with high-quality dry-erase boards and markers. These tools are indispensable for creating a vertical work space for our scholars. The use of dry-erase boards not only facilitates active participation and peer-to-peer learning but also enables students to explore and communicate their mathematical thinking more effectively.
