My Students

The BSAP program is new to LAUSD this year and was created to provide more support staff, resources, and opportunities for our Black and African American students.

Our BSAP students are so diverse, creative, motivated, and deserve to be rewarded for their accomplishments!

I have a total of 311 BSAP students from 9th-12th grade, and 193 of them are on sports teams, involved in clubs, compete in the band, and participate in community service. They are hard workers in the classroom and have jobs outside of school. They are also preparing for college and getting ready for life after high school.

Many are in need of extra academic and social/emotional support.

My Project

Over the past semester we have continued to push for academic excellence with our students, and as an effort to encourage them to earn good grades, we have created a "C or better list" with 203 names of the students who earned A's, B's, or C's. Our students have been proud to see their names on the list, and their teachers have also shared this information in the classroom setting and during meetings.

The reason we have created this account is to raise money to buy incentives/snack packages for those students who have worked so hard!
