My Project

I am asking for copies of Alice Walker's The Color Purple for each student in our girl group, so everyone can have their own personal copy for our book club. I am also asking for journals and writing utensils for each student.

The teachers at my school and I offer the teenaged girls enrolled there the opportunity to join our empowering book club.

Next month we are reading The Color Purple and we are planning to incorporate writing, music, social and emotional learning, poetry, and history in our weekly meetings. The journals and pens will be a beautiful personal place for each student to write their thoughts and ideas.
