This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My softball girls are an amazing group of young women. They work hard on the field and in the classroom. These girls have grown as athletes every practice, every game, every season. They have built a team that is founded on hard work, effort and team work.

The girls on this team are truly special young women, and their potential is limitless and their future bright.

I want to be able to get them some new gear and equipment for our 2019 spring season to support our team.

My Project

Last year we took over the Softball team, and came into a program that was looking to reboot and progress into a program that can teach our young woman how to play softball and become the student athletes they have the potential to become. These young women went 13-1 and have quickly changed out program from an up and coming team to a team that's ready to compete for a city championship now!

Our catcher's equipment, our batting helmets and our gear in general was old and falling apart, and now with our promotion to the A division, we need new equipment to continue our team growth.

We start playing in early March, and I want to get the girls cage jackets to provide some warm jackets, some team spirit and to show our Jaguar pride in warm ups!

These girls are the most amazing young women and student athletes and I want them to have equipment to help them complete on the same level as the bigger NYC schools that have more funding and better equipment. These girls are model students, model athletes and would appreciate any and all support!

These girls have been working hard in the off season and college coaches have been reaching out to some of our players and will be coming to games, and I want these girls to have good equipment to perform at their best level!
