Bronx LGJ Soccer Training Gear

My students need equipment for practice. We need soccer balls for practice, our goalies need gloves, and half of the team needs shin guards. Our team needs training tops to wear for practice when it's hot/cold.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The Bronx LGJ soccer team is full of dedicated student-athletes looking to hone their skills, learn to game or have a place to go after school for a positive activity. They are a mix of 9-12th graders of all skill levels and abilities.

These kids are passionate about soccer, and have unwavering dedication to improve and get better.

They love getting every opportunity to play, no weather will stop them, and they are always trying to learn about the game.

My Project

Our team has been steadily growing over the last two years since its inception. We have been able to use our minimal resources to get some training equipment together, and would like to update our gear and provide training apparel for all our team in warm and cold weather.

Some of our athletes end up wearing their school sweaters or shirts for practice, and these tops will be perfect for them to have the right apparel for practice.

The soccer balls will be replacing our older run down ones that have been going flat, and help to supplement the few balls I have been able to purchase as coach. We have an influx of newer and younger players who need shin guards to play and this will help them to get on the field.
