Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help show our students how to relieve stress and relax in the midst of the hectic environment of the Bronx that surrounds us!

Our students are an incredibly diverse, energetic group.

Students in our international school come from over 50 different countries and speak over 35 languages! Most of our students come from low-income homes and can't afford to buy their own supplies. Our school is quite demanding and many of our students find themselves overly stressed. Yoga is an excellent way to alleviate some of this stress.

My Project

These yoga mats will allow our club to meet once a week after school to experience the numerous benefits of yoga: increased focus, flexibility, relaxation skills, improved posture, etc. We will be meeting on Monday afternoons, giving students a nice bit of relaxation and refreshment at the beginning of their week.

Yoga is an excellent form of exercise.

Perhaps more importantly, it will help our students manage their stress and clear their chaotic minds. Help us make this dream a reality for our students!
