My Project
Our students come from all five boroughs of NYC, many of whom have not had access to formal dance training before joining our school. Twenty-five percent of our students are black and forty-nine percent are Hispanic & Latino. As a Title I public performing arts high school, we are dedicated to providing equitable opportunities for ALL young artists, ensuring they receive the training and resources needed to succeed in the industry.
Despite limited funding, our program has helped students grow into skilled performers, with alumni going on to feature films and Broadway national tours.
I am deeply invested in giving our students the tools they need to thrive. Each year our Juniors learn how to tap dance.
Tap dance was instrumental in opening doors for me as a performer, and I believe it remains an essential skill for any musical theatre artist. By supporting this initiative, you are helping shape Broadway’s next generation, giving them the foundation they need to pursue their dreams.
