I need funding to complete Breathe For Change, yoga and SEL training in order to bring new skills and qualifications to our school-wide mindfulness and mental health initiative for teachers and students.

My Project

One year ago, I started a mental health and wellness initiative for our rural Title Ischool. Through donations, we created a wellness center for staff on campus and brought mindfulness tools to our students through games, fidgets, guided meditations, and hands-on tools. Now, we are striving to continue this initiative by creating a workshop series that teaches yoga, breathing, and mindfulness skills that can be easily accessed in a classroom setting that they, in turn, can share with their students. We hope to connect students with their teachers and mentors in their mental health journey. Teachers can model positive skills in emotional regulation, stress relief, and calmness. With this training through nationally renowned Breathe for Change, I can bring back a new skillset in the magic of yoga and mindfulness to our whole-school and community environment.
