My Students

I am beyond thrilled to be starting a brand new drama program for my elementary school. It is a true privilege for me and my students to have drama as a part of the school day. As this is a new program, I do not have the supplies needed to facilitate the class to its fullest potential.

I am beyond thrilled to be starting a brand new drama program for my elementary school.

It is a true privilege for me and my students to have drama as a part of an extra curricular activity. My students are part of an incredibly diverse population in North Carolina. The students at my school are smart and enthusiastic learners, from kindergarten all the way up to 5th grade. I have been met with a lot of excitement about drama class from the students, teachers, and parents.

My Project

Rock And Roll Forever is the classroom kit I have requested. It will be used to study character, plot, setting etc. and to help incite dramatic play in our upper elementary school. Because this will be the first year that we will implement a play in our school, we are starting with nothing. This play kit will be our foundation for our drama class.

Drama is an important tool for preparing students to live and work in a world that is increasingly team-oriented.

Drama also helps students develop tolerance and empathy. The students will build fluency, expression, and confidence as we embark on this journey together.

Theater has the power to teach empathy, collaboration, confidence, and creativity among many other things. Please help me to give my students the best start to a drama program as possible. This is a wonderful and deserving community that would be forever thankful.
