My Students

Our student athletes work really hard on being the best they can be.

We as an athletic department have maintained a 3.0 GPA for the school year.

As we push these student athletes academically we need to continue to push them in their sports. They all work tremendously hard in everything they do. The have minimum resources but still give 100% in everything they do. They grow tremendously although the conditions are not superb and are super excited about developing and growing the program and themselves.

My Project

Our students come from many different neighborhoods within the rural community. Our Athletic department believes that our student athletes are students first and athletes second. We also believe that growing our athletes make them better students.

One way our school instills positive character development for our students is through team sports.

We will use the wooden bats to increase our hitting ability and skill, We will also use them for strengthening our arms to help our players swing harder and smoother. The fungo bat will allow me to provide better fielding and catching opportunities and allow our players to blossom into the players they can be.

The majority of our students come from low-income parts of Morgan County and often lack the opportunity to participate on organized sports teams. Because of this, our school makes a point to provide boys and girls sports opportunities for students to help grow their character, become more physically fit, and learn from being a part of a team. Research shows that active participation in sports increases academic ability.
