I am a freshmen, biology teacher at an inner-city school in Chicago. Bringing a projector into the classroom will open many doors and provide opportunities for them that they have not imagined. Engaging my students means to present them with the curriculum in many different forms.
My Project
With this projector, I will be able to provide visuals of all the topics in biology. I can show real-life cell structures, power point presentations to enhance note-taking skills, and project ACT prep materials such as graphs and tables. I can vary my instruction and present materials in a way that is conducive to all learning styles.
This project is especially important to me, because I see what my students have to live without on a daily basis.
I want to make sure that when they are in school, they want for nothing.
