My Students

Do you remember picking up a book and putting it down after a couple chapters because the content was too difficult. Many students in 6th grade lose their interest in reading because they are frustrated at the books they choose.

My students are selected by a lottery to attend a charter school in Pennsylvania.

They are fun, hard working, and positive students that look to the school to provide a safe atmosphere to ensure their education. They are students that strive to be pushed to work harder and challenge themselves.

My Project

The Apple Ipad tablet I am requesting will support my students in choosing books that are level appropriate for them. The application "Level It" will allow myself to scan all the books from my library into the computer. The students will then be able to search for books that are comparable to their reading level and interests.

Donations to my request will allow students to select a book from my library that will fit their needs and wants.

Students can select books based on their level and their interest so they will not get frustrated or bored.
