My Students

I want to share as much knowledge and information as I can so that we can all be a team player when it comes to providing the best for my students.

I have the BEST students!

My preschool students' ages range between 3-5 years. They all have special needs and have the opportunity to be in a special education preschool program for 2 years before entering kindergarten to get them school ready for school. They come to school ready to learn with a smile (almost) every day! We are on an elementary school campus (PreK through 5th). Even though we are the only preschool class on campus, we have the opportunity to mainstream with our older students around special activities throughout the year.

My Project

Being able to have access to a new laptop (plus external memory) would allow me to reinforce the skills that I will be learning from the professional development training sessions which include common core state standards, literacy foundations, and our new math program. Having access to additional resources to supplement my teaching would also offer my students additional access to available materials to enhance and add more meaning to their knowledge on the subject matter. I would also share it with the parents of my students as well and lead parent training for my students' parents. I will be able to engage my students with a variety of materials that will help them access information in different modalities. Having the laptop accessible to me would allow me to integrate technology and enhance my students' learning.

All of the students in my class have an IEP (Individual Education Plan).

My students are usually in my class for 2 years before entering kindergarten. Having access to technology to bring together the resources out there to help my students achieve their progress would be a great asset! I want to share as much knowledge and information as I can so that we can all be a team player when it comes to providing the best for my students.
