My Students

These students are an urban population of children from the South Brooklyn area of New York. They are learners of many different cultural backgrounds. They are very excited to pursue science and science projects daily with their teachers.

Our students are excited for the opportunity to design, build and engineer their designs, honing their inquiry skills to construct science reports and projects so they can share their knowledge with the world around them.

My Project

These supplies are needed to ensure we can provide nearly 600 students the printouts they need to engage with their science learning. As color printing is not available to our students currently, their work is lacking the flair they desire to show off their work with others.

The goal is to allow the teachers and students accessing these supplies to be able to show their thinking on paper, in an organized and engaging way.

This is to ensure that student engagement with learning is high, whether passing by the posters in the hallway or looking at a handout passed to students in our classrooms.

For the educators who will utilize the printer, they will be able to print their class handouts and poster documents in color, allowing them to show their examples and student examples to shine and continue to entice our learners in engaging with the science content on their project much easier.
