My Students

Sharing student work and thinking is a must in the classroom. Students learn from their peers by sharing their work and thinking through explanation. In order to accomplish this in the classroom I need an LCD projector in order to use the document camera that I own.

My students come from low income homes and are considered at risk and are all girls.

My school focuses on increasing women in the fields of math, science and technology. My students are girls who have great potential. Please help us transform learning in our classroom with the use of an LCD projector.

My Project

By having an LCD projector my students will be able to show their work and strategies for solving a problem immediately. Currently students have to recopy their work on an overhead transparency. This takes up time and sometimes students do not write all of their strategies. This limits the number of students who share as well. If we could show their work immediately the learning would increase.

This project is important because student learning would increase as a result of having this equipment.

Education is already at risk in our nation. Students deserve to have all of the materials they need.
