This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My student's are growing up in a high risk area, where most people count them out before they even get started. They live in a neighborhood that is primarily section 8 housing.
We are a Title I school, and All of the students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Most students come to school without having any school supplies from home. Unfortunately funding has been cut in our district and supplies are not easily accessible. It is my hope to update our classroom by providing resources we do not have access to.
My Project
My students need activities that focus on STEM lessons. Our students will use these materials to explore their ability through experimenting and building! The STEM bundle kits have materials for force, motion, and magnets, These activities will be used during science to show my students how things work, and expose them to engineering. Having STEM activities will keep my students engaged in learning, and show them learning can be fun.
Your generous donation to our project will introduce my students to Science Technology Engineering and Math.
This will change our students' lives for the better because they will love school and feel success at an early age --- having fun while learning!
