Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our goal is to bring live isopods, beetles, & worms into our classroom to create a mini-world of their habitat. This fits perfectly with our study of ecosystems. We'll watch and learn from the isopods, making sure they have what they need to thrive in its terrestrial environment.

The isopods will be like our tiny teachers, showing us how they live.

Having the all the creepy crawlies and supplies will help us learn in a fun way. We'll see how they move and behave, just like scientists! By taking care of them, we'll understand what makes a good home for them. This project will make science come alive for us!

Our goals are simple but important. We want to make learning exciting and hands-on. By watching the isopods, beetles and worms, we'll learn about nature and how living things depend on each other. We also want to learn to learn to be empathetic, experience responsibility, be kind to animals and take care of our planet.

What's special about our class? Well, our special needs students are like junior explorers, always eager to discover new things. They come from different places and backgrounds, but they all love learning together. They're not afraid to try new things and they always help each other out. With this project, we'll show how amazing our students are and how much they can learn!
