This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a special place because it is one of the most diverse schools in the Houston Independent School District. Our school mission revolves around accepting diversity! We have used sports to connect our students and have committed to being a healthy campus. In recent months, we have been challenged as a school and community, due to the budget crisis. Although we have been able to use creativity in our curriculum we are in desperate need of teaching resources.

The low-income students we have at our school have many challenges outside of school, that makes the chance for an equal opportunity even more of a vital necessity.

We are now in a scramble to find equipment that intrigues kids to stay healthy! Accommodating our large number of students has become even more of an untouchable situation because of our lack of resources. Through this tough situation we have stuck together and managed to create a limited learning environment, but need the community's help!

My Project

Bringing school back "live" is something we must do to keep these students intrigued, and interested in virtual classes! One thing we noticed was the fight to keep the students from the distractions of obstacles at home. These obstacles whether video games, tv, toys, other friends in apartments, or etc, get in the way of kids wanting to attend classes! To help prevent these issues and bring back excitement, we wanted to provide good streaming, live exercises, and sports "live"! The resources needed for this project will be provided with these sports action cameras, allowing fun live streaming! The interactions between teacher and student will create the eagerness for learning we desire in these students.
