My Students

My eight students are curious, fun, sweet, and persevering learners. They all are diagnosed with moderate to severe learning disabilities performing significantly below their age level. They have very high needs and need a lot of support in the classroom to complete various tasks throughout the day. Despite having many challenges, my students work hard at succeeding and they never give up. Each student has unique qualities and skills and we are all working towards becoming independent and kind individuals in our community.

My Project

I want to give my students a gift of a holiday tree to bring back their holiday spirit and to promote our classroom and school community. Our holiday tree will allow students to come together as a community and decorate our tree together as a team. Students can participate in different craft activities to help decorate our holiday tree and share wonderful ever-lasting holiday memories with their teachers and friends. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a special gift-giving event with their peers with this holiday tree and learn about empathy and the importance of giving and caring for one another. Students will be so happy and thrilled to receive this special tree!
