Help me give my students insect farms in order to bring nature into our classroom.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Nina's classroom raised $342

My Project
The 70 students I teach in second through fifth grades will study Living Things as part of the Life Science/Biology unit.
They will study both animals and plants, and explore questions, such as “What do animals need in order to grow, move, and survive?” and “What do plants need from their environment in order to grow and survive?”
Ideally, I would take my students outside to a park or a playground. However, our school does not have access to any outside grounds–not even a playground. The school building is surrounded by city streets, and the students stay inside the school building from 8:10 AM to 2:30 PM. For this reason, I would love to instead bring nature into our classroom, through teaching materials, such as insect farms, a plant growth cycle set, and a root viewer pot.
More than half of students from low‑income households
