Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students love to learn. They thrive when developing and applying new skills, and they are resilient. We are an urban, low-income district, and the majority of our students come from hardworking immigrant families, many of whom speak a language other than English at home.

My library lessons for younger grades usually include a read-aloud, and students love when I use the Novel Effect app to bring stories to life with music and sound effects!

This subscription will not only provide access for me, but for student devices as well, so students can practice reading aloud with sound effects to motivate and engage them! The Kleenex will help us continue to keep the library media center clean and and kids healthy.

Our amazing elementary complex library media center serves 2000+ students in four schools, and I am working to turn it into a 21st century library media center and learning hub where students will collaborate and learn, with resources that motivate them.
