My Project

I am requesting funding to participate in this virtual professional development with Breathe for Change which is considered a "Research-based education movement". This training will help bring social-emotional strategies and trauma-informed practices to not only myself but the students and staff in my building.

I truly believe that education extends beyond academics!

It encompasses the emotional and mental well-being of teachers and students. Stress, anxiety, and trauma can overwhelm the joy of learning in today's fast-paced society.

My motivation arises from the desire to create an atmosphere that promotes emotional resilience and well-being. By pursuing this mindfulness, self-care, and yoga training, I aim to cultivate a nurturing environment where my students, our staff, and I can thrive.
