My Students
Building connections between old and new knowledge helps enlighten and enhance learning. Classroom discussions help broaden my students' knowledge base about the topics and ideas we're studying. Although my students attend a Title I school, they love working together, discussing new topics, as well as making connections between what they're learning and the real world.
My students range in abilities and languages spoken--they are diverse learners who need a variety of teaching strategies to help them learn.
My students come to school eager to learn from various living situations such as single parents, foster homes, homeless shelters, or extended family living.
Despite their varying home lives, they come to school with a zest for learning.
My Project
STEM is a huge part of today's learning. The green screen, Apple Pencils, and stand will add engagement and life within our STEM-infused classroom.
Students will have a chance to complete their STEM projects to create their own videos using the classroom iPads.
The green screen (with its stand, clips, and magnets) serves as the backdrop allowing students to choose their own backgrounds, while the Apple Pencils are used to add a variety of elements and pictures to the projects.
The videos supplement key concepts they are learning, as well as give students the opportunity to research and gather more about topics that interest them.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
