This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This will be my first year teaching. I am excited to be teaching the upcoming 9th graders who will be going through the transition from middle school to high school and want to make sure they are fully prepared throughout the year and ready for all 10th grade will hold for them!
My Project
This project is to fund my Algebra 1 math classroom with a large dry erase board so my students that are not as fast at taking notes can continue to note take without feeling like they are holding up the rest of the other students. We also need consumables such as dry erase markers and pencils. I hope bringing learning back to the fundamentals will help my students appreciate their education and see that having their needs met in the classroom will help them to be successful in and out of the school.
