Grit, resilient, bright, and beautiful are just a few words I would use to describe my students. The work tirelessly to defy the stigma placed upon them regarding the location and socioeconomic position that their school and community fall under. Being that resilience is at the core of who my students are, they are bubbling in anticipation for this school year! This anticipation needs to be met with the preparation to give them the best virtual experience possible.
Most teachers going into their first year are extremely excited to decorate their rooms and meet their first set of babies and so am I. However, I would have never imagined having to portray this excitement from my home. Regardless of the place that the learning shall transpire it is still my responsibility to ensure that the learning still occurs. With the help of the materials I will be able to make learning engaging with quality lighting. I would also be able to create crisp, clean, and exciting exemplars for scholars by crafting and printing them. Ultimately making learning a production, thus bringing Hollywood to the Neighborhood!
